Howard Lane, M.D.
Dr. Lane graduated from Tufts University and received his M.D. from the Sackler School of Medicine in Tel Aviv, Israel. After an internship at St. Luke’s-Roosevelt Hospital Center, he completed his ophthalmology residency at New York Medical College in Valhalla, New York, where he served as Chief Resident. Dr. Lane was then selected to complete a Fellowship in Cornea, External Disease, and Laser Refractive Surgery at Rush Medical College in Chicago, Illinois.
Dr. Lane is a Clinical Assistant Professor of the Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell. He is Board Certified and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology. He is a member of the American Medical Association, American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons, and the New York State Ophthalmology Society. Dr. Lane is past president of the Long Island Ophthalmological Society. He has presented his research at numerous ophthalmology conferences around the country and has contributed to a textbook on cataract and cornea surgery. Dr. Lane’s surgical expertise is in femtosecond laser cataract surgery with premium intraocular lenses, as well as LASIK and PRK.
